My faith is the grand drama of my life. I'm a believer, so I sing words of God to those who have no faith. I give bird songs to those who dwell in cities and have never heard them, make rhythms for those who know only military marches or jazz, and paint colours for those who see none.
Olivier Messiaen

Os Pink Floyd apareceram em 1965 e gravaram em 1967 o seu primeiro álbum, The Piper At The Gates of Dawn,

Feel
You feel me
away far too empty, oh so alone!
I want to go home
Oh find me inside of a nocturne - the blonde
how I love you to be by my side
they wail...
the crowd on her side
she straggled the bridge by the water...

Brain Damage
The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.
The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more...
Barrett has lived as a virtual recluse after leaving the group in 1968, but Gilmour insists his gifted contribution to the band will never be forgotten.
He says, "We sat down with him after listening to all his songs and said, 'Syd, play this one. Syd, play that one.'
"Or you could try and dub everything else on top. He'd change the song every time."

Música à Terça: The Cecil Taylor Unit/Roswell Rudd Sextet Mixed

Taylor: Perhaps before we go any further, we better define what jazz is.
Overton: No, I’m not going to get into that…
[Laughter]
Taylor: Why not? Why not? How can we talk about the future of something that we can’t even define? What are we talking about?
Overton: Let me define jazz community. You have to be able to play jazz with someone else. Well if you have four people, that’s a community. If you have three…
Taylor: Well, Haydn played with somebody too. Was he playing jazz?
Overton: No, he played by himself.
Taylor: No, no, no – his chamber work, you know, and his symphony, you know. People played together, does that mean it’s jazz because they played together?
Overton: The idea of a jazz community is that jazz is really based on more than one person playing together, and you have to be able to say, and you have to be able to agree musically.
Taylor: Well what is this thing you’re calling jazz? That’s what I want to know first and now let’s get that that [sic] before we start talking about…
Overton: I think that would be stupid to get into. We could spend all day – you have your ideas, I have mine…

Música à Terça: Mazzy Star, So Tonight That I Might See

I want to hold the hand inside you
I want to take a breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life
You go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go blind
Some kind of light into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there.
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger's light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
I think it's strange you never knew

Música à Terça: Tom Waits, Rain Dogs

Inside a broken clock, splashing the wine with all the rain dogs
Taxi, we’d rather walk, huddle a doorway with the rain dogs
For I am a rain dog, too
Oh, how we danced and we swallowed the night
For it was all ripe for dreaming
Oh, how we danced away all of the lights
We’ve always been out of our minds

The rum pours strong and thin, beat out the dustman with the rain dogs
Aboard a shipwreck train, give my umbrella to the rain dogs
For I am a rain dog, too
Oh, how we danced with the rose of tralee
Her long hair black as a raven
Oh, how we danced and you whispered to me
You’ll never be going back home
Oh, how we danced with the rose of tralee
Her long hair black as a raven
Oh, how we danced and you whispered to me
You’ll never be going back home
